Six to eight sessions

Put an end to regrowth

Tired of starting your hair removal routine again every month? Laser hair removal in Sainte-Maxime puts an end to that cycle. In a few sessions, you get smooth skin all year round, with no regrowth and no repeat appointments. No more back and forth for a waxing every month.

The laser works deep down, on the hair root. Our device sends a precise beam of light that targets the hair bulb. The heat then destroys the root without harming the skin around it.

On average, allow 6 to 8 sessions spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart. Your package therefore covers 6 paid sessions, the 7th is free.

We welcome you in our beauty salon, at 23 rue Pierre et Marie Curie in Sainte-Maxime, Tuesday to Saturday and by appointment. Find the full list of areas on the page prices.

Medical supervision

A supervising doctor checks your assessment before the first session. He then stays reachable six days a week. He answers our questions and approves your protocol. So you move forward safely, session after session.

Our equipment

A CE medical and MDR certified diode laser

We have chosen a CE medical certified Keros device, under regulation MDR 2017/745. That is the highest standard required for a medical device.

Our platform combines two technologies: a latest-generation 808 nm diode laser and advanced pulsed light. So we adapt each shot to your hair and your skin tone. For the face, however, we switch to electrolysis.

PowerMotion technology treats the area in a single pass. The session is therefore shorter: allow around 12 minutes for half legs and 7 minutes for a back.

FineMotion mode targets fine hairs and pigmented down, with shorter pulses. White, blond and red hairs, however, still call for electrolysis.

Lastly, a built-in melanin reader analyses your skin in a few seconds before every shot. It measures your melanin level on a scale of 0 to 100, then adjusts the settings to your skin phototype, with no guesswork.

How it works

Your journey, step by step

Laser hair removal in Sainte-Maxime always starts with an assessment. Then every session follows the same protocol. So you know exactly what to expect before you come.

Step 1

The initial consultation

A 15-minute appointment, charged at 10 €. It is required before any first session.

First, we analyse your phototype with the melanin reader. Then we assess the area, the density and the colour of your hair.

We also check your contraindications and any current treatments. Finally, we define your protocol and the number of sessions to plan.

Your assessment then goes to a supervising doctor, who checks it online. He approves the protocol, or corrects it. So we only start the sessions once he has agreed. An app then follows your progress, session after session.

This assessment is never free. It involves diagnosis time and professional responsibility. Its price is shown on our prices, along with those for each area.

Step 2

Preparation

Shave the area 24 hours before. Above all, do not use wax, tweezers or an electric epilator.

The laser targets the melanin in the hair, inside the bulb. So the root has to stay in place. But waxing and tweezing pull it out, which makes the session pointless.

Come with clean skin, without cream, oil or deodorant.

Lastly, come with untanned skin. Allow 4 weeks without strong sun exposure before your session.

Step 3

The session

Between 15 and 45 minutes depending on the area. Cooling to −11 °C protects the skin throughout.

We first apply a conductive gel. The handpiece then sweeps the area in a single pass.

The sensation feels like a light tingling. Thanks to active cooling, it stays very bearable, even on sensitive areas.

For reference: about 12 minutes for half legs, 7 minutes for a back.

Step 4

After your session

We apply a soothing treatment. Then avoid sun, heat and friction for 48 hours.

Slight redness may appear. However, it usually disappears within a few hours.

Next, the treated hairs fall out on their own, between 7 and 21 days after the session. Do not pull them out: let them go with a mitt or in the shower.

Lastly, put off sauna, hammam and intense sport for two days. Our post-hair-removal care soothe the skin between appointments.

Step 5

Follow-up

We schedule the next session according to your hair cycle, between 4 and 8 weeks.

The laser only works on hairs in their growth phase. And your hairs never all grow at the same time. That is why several sessions are needed.

Between appointments, shave as much as you like. Do not go back to waxing or tweezing, though.

Allow 6 to 8 sessions on average. Your package covers 6 paid sessions, the 7th being free.

Step 6

Maintenance

One or two sessions a year are then enough to maintain the result.

After the full course, hair growth is greatly and lastingly reduced. A few fine hairs may still reappear over time.

Hormonal changes usually explain this regrowth. So one maintenance session a year is enough in most cases.

We will get back to you at the right time, according to your schedule. In the meantime, enjoy our body treatments to look after your skin.

The consultation

A 15-minute assessment at 10 €, required before your first session. We analyse your skin, your hair and any contraindications, then we set your protocol.

The areas

The areas we treat with the laser

We treat the body, for women as well as men. The face, however, is treated with electrolysis, never laser. For the areas laser cannot treat, we keepwaxing.

  • Basic, Brazilian or Hollywood bikini
  • Underarms
  • Arms and forearms
  • Nape and back
  • Stomach and buttocks
  • Full body package

Men

The face: electrolysis only

We never use the laser on the face. The upper lip, the chin, the cheeks and the area between the brows are treated with electrolysis. It is also the only method that works on white, blonde, red and very fine hair, which the laser cannot see.

The calendar

Why we treat from October to May

We offer laser hair removal in Sainte-Maxime, by the sea. Here, skin tans from June to September. And the laser targets melanin: on tanned skin, it confuses the pigment of the skin with the pigment of the hair. So we treat the body from October to May.

  • Start in October or November
  • Book your sessions right through the winter
  • Finish before the first days of sunbathing
  • Allow 4 weeks with no sun exposure before each session
  • Wait 48 hours after your session before sun exposure
  • Enjoy summer with no regrowth

You spend the summer in the gulf and the winter elsewhere? Tell us at the assessment. We then adapt the spacing of your sessions to your calendar. While you wait for the season, thewaxing takes over, and the electrolysis stays possible all year round on the face.

Worth knowing before you choose

On the face, laser can produce the opposite of the intended effect: it stimulates regrowth instead of stopping it. That is why we work there with electrical hair removal, hair by hair.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you ask us about the laser

Here is what our clients most often ask before laser hair removal in Sainte-Maxime, with our full answers.

Should I shave before a laser hair removal session?

Yes. Shave the area 24 hours before your appointment. The laser must reach the root, so the hair must stay under the skin. However, never use wax, tweezers or an epilator: they pull out the root and make the session pointless.

How many sessions should you plan for?

Allow 6 to 8 sessions on average, spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart. Laser only works on hair in the growth phase. Our package covers 6 paid sessions, the 7th being free. The initial assessment gives the exact number for your area.

How much does laser hair removal cost?

The price depends on the area and its size. The initial consultation costs €10 for 15 minutes. Each area can then be booked per session or as a package of 6 sessions, with the 7th free. Find the details on our prices.

Does laser hair removal hurt?

No. Active cooling at −11 °C and the conductive gel protect the epidermis throughout the session. The sensation feels like a light tingle, or a rubber band snapping briefly. It stays well tolerated, including on the bikini line and the underarms.

What are the contraindications?

Pregnancy and breastfeeding, freshly tanned skin, photosensitising treatments, certain medicines, photosensitive epilepsy, lesions or infections on the area, and tattoos. So we always check your situation at the consultation, then before every session.

Is laser hair removal really permanent?

It reduces hair growth significantly and lastingly. However, no laser removes 100% of hair for life. A few fine hairs can come back, often after a hormonal change. One maintenance session a year is then enough to keep the result.

When does the hair fall out after a session?

Between 7 and 21 days after the laser session. At first they seem to grow back: in fact, they rise to the surface before falling out on their own. Let them go naturally, with a mitt or in the shower. Above all, do not pull them out.

Can I remove hair between two sessions?

You can shave as much as you like. However, waxing, tweezers, threading and electric epilators are off limits throughout the course. They pull out the root, and the root is exactly what the laser targets.

Can I have a session in summer, on tanned skin?

No. We treat the body from October to May, outside the UV exposure season. On tanned skin, the laser confuses the pigment of the skin with the pigment of the hair. So allow 4 weeks with no intense exposure before each session.

Does the laser work on white, blond or red hair?

No. The laser targets melanin, which is absent or too weak in this hair. For it, the electrolysis remains the only effective method. It also treats very fine hair, and it is what we use on the face.

Do you treat olive and dark skin?

Yes, from phototype I to phototype VI. Our melanin reader analyses your skin tone before each session, then adjusts the settings automatically. So we adapt the power to your skin rather than to an average.

Do you treat the face with the laser?

Never. The upper lip, the chin, the cheeks and between the brows are treated only with electrolysis. This method works hair by hair, whatever the colour, and suits the most delicate areas.

Laser or pulsed light, what is the difference?

The laser emits a single wavelength, here 808 nm, aimed precisely at the bulb. Pulsed light spreads a wider spectrum, so it is less targeted. Our platform brings both together, which lets us choose according to your hair and your skin tone.

Can a beautician carry out laser hair removal?

Yes, via the decree no. 2024-470 of 24 May 2024 and the order of 19 February 2025. Our beauticians hold the BP Esthétique diploma. They have also completed the compulsory laser training, the SOCLE training and our in-house training.
